(Toronto, ON) January 19^th, 2012 – Source of Furniture + Accessories announced the winners of the SOFA Window Contest during the 40^th annual Canadian Home Furnishings Market this past week. Home Staging Professional Business Owners came together under the banner of staging organizations; Certified Staging Professionals (CSP), Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) and Professional Stagers Network Association (PSNA). Each organization was invited to choose two teams to represent their organization in a friendly competition of Window Dressing. The winning team receives $250 donation to the charity of their choice.

“Not only is this a creative outlet for the participating stagers, it is a great way to network, while giving back to the local community” says Christine Rae, award winning author and president of the CSP International Training Academy.

“The easiest part of helping organize the event, was enlisting the teams. Everyone was so eager to participate for a great cause…”says Angela Brooks, Director of Marketing for Certified Staging Professionals and VP of RESA Canada. “Most of the stagers involved were members of all three organizations. It means, really that everyone wins…including the charity of choice.”

With a very tight timeframe, over the Christmas holidays, all teams did an exceptional job. RESA Canada Kelly Peletier team (Angela and Lisa McIntee) was awarded first place with $250 donated to Acquired Brain Injury at Hamilton Science Hospital. Certified Staging Professionals Kelly Ralph team (includes Sonya MacDonald, Roula Thalassinos, and Deborah Toffoli) came in 2^nd while the other Certified Staging Professional Team Brenda Aalto (Annie Caya, Wendy Vankeep, and Patricia Morgan) placed third.
